Main Facade of the Trade Fair Restaurant in Hanover

The location of this hall, surrounded on three sides by exhibition halls and pavilions as well as trees, necessitated a design that ensured full daylight penetration. The decision was made to construct the south, east, and west facades entirely of glass. For structural division, crystal mirror glass was used in the lower and middle sections, and Wellit-76 glass in the middle and upper sections. Behind the upper Wellit band are bitumen-coated Homoton panels, which conceal the view into the roof interior, act as insulation, and prevent condensation (the roof is covered with Ytong blocks, making it necessary to provide the side walls with appropriate thermal insulation).
