Canopies
Ramp and entrance forecourt canopies: 1. Canopy over the loading ramp at the warehouse of the Bern Consumer Cooperative. Architects: H. and G. Reinhard, Bern. The shape of the steel-framed roof resulted from the need to distribute the compressive and tensile loads in two separate concrete slabs at the rear, while the height of the overhead power lines had to be accommodated in the front section. 2. Canopy at the workshop building of Francke & Heidecke, Braunschweig. Architect: Prof. Dr. F. W. Kraemer, Braunschweig. Exposed concrete construction with cardboard insulation. Drainage is integrated into the building's columns.
