Single-Family House near Basle
With limited resources, the goal was to construct a spacious house according to the following plan: living room with a study alcove, kitchen, master bedroom with bathroom, two children's bedrooms, basement rooms, and a garage. The floors had to be staggered on the gently sloping, north-facing site, which is accessed lengthwise by a lower-lying road. The two-storey section (bedrooms, bathroom, staircase) was sandwiched between two disc-shaped rubble stone walls. The single-storey living area with a timber-framed kitchen is offset by half a story.
