Administration Building of the Reynolds Metals Company in Detroit
The building, consisting of a ground floor and two upper floors, is approximately 16 metres high and covers a footprint (excluding the aluminium facade, which projects approximately 1.20 metres) of 38 x 29 metres. With a volume of 18,000 cubic metres, it offers a total usable area of approximately 4,000 square metres. The structure rests on a white terrazzo base, which is bordered by a decorative water feature (the parking area is shaded by trees in such a way that it does not detract from the building's appearance). A few steps and a low bridge lead into the ground-floor atrium, which is entirely glazed.
