Residential High-rise in Biel/Switzerland
Columns, ceilings, and parapets are made of exposed concrete. The emphatically horizontal articulation of the main facade is executed in every detail; windows and roller shutter boxes are installed accordingly (see detail drawing). The architectural articulation is also subtly underscored by the paintwork, which is applied using dispersion paint (Amphibolin). The column caps and the outer lintels of the roller shutter boxes are integrated into the dominant colour gradations. Continuous awnings are installed on the loggias on the left.
