The two-storey hall in the reception building, with its three-dimensional wall design, its lounge armchairs and flexible computer workplaces, is more like a hotel lobby than a factory space. In the past, one of the world’s leading producer of hydraulic components manufactured its best-selling product in various locations, which resulted in considerable outlay in terms of transport and logistics. Organizing the entire production process in a single location required an area of 50,000 m² with large column spacings to allow a rearrangement of the machinery if necessary.
