Production Hall and Warehouse for Wooden Goods in Böhen

 - Simon Kramer

Over the years, from the craft tradition of a wainwright’s workshop in the Allgäu, Southern Germany, a modern concern has developed producing a broad range of goods – from the serial manufacture of packing material to the fabrication of high-quality wooden toys and children’s furniture. In the course of expanding its woodworking operations, the company enlarged a covered storage area to create a production hall and warehouse. In the erection of the new hall, which is in a simple timber form of construction, elements from the existing load-bearing structure were exploited in part. Of the overall area of 2,445 m², roughly a third is taken up by production activities. Two thirds serve storage purposes.
