Building for the Development of Pharmaceutical Appliances in Takatsuki

Bordered immediately to the east by the elevated highway between Kyoto and Osaka and with one of the most important railway lines in Japan to the south, the site of this factory building for a company concerned with pharmaceutical technology is surrounded by heterogeneous housing and commercial developments. To lend the new structure a distinct character, therefore, a clear, independent formal language was required.
