Project + Product: DHPG Office Building in Prefabricated Construction, Bonn
On the edge of Bonn's Museum Mile, a new urban quarter, primarily characterized by office buildings, has been under development for several years. The law firm DHPG also planned a functional new building here to offer its employees an attractive and communicative working environment, both now and in the future. A competition was held to ensure an architecturally sophisticated design – strict cost guidelines for the building structure and technical systems to maintain an appropriate budget. The first-prize winner, Prof. Schmitz Architekten from Cologne, achieved this in collaboration with the general contractor Goldbeck through a compact building with high space efficiency and a high degree of prefabrication of the building components.
