Following the successful model in Tyrol, the Lanserhof Tegernsee opened in 2014. Nestled in a unique natural setting at an altitude of 900 metres, ingenhoven architects created one of Europe's most modern health centres. The distinctive combination of a hotel and a medical department focused on prevention and regeneration defines the sustainable design concept. The building is based on a square floor plan inspired by an ancient monastery. The heart of the complex comprises the medical treatment, consultation, and exercise rooms, designed and equipped according to the latest standards. These, along with the communal areas—restaurant, lounge with fireplace, and reception—are oriented towards the tranquil, verdant inner courtyard. Located slightly apart and connected to the main building only at the basement level, is the bathhouse with its sauna area, outdoor pool, and exercise and yoga room. The 70 exclusive rooms and suites offer further space for peace and relaxation. With a minimum area of 55 square metres, they are considerably more spacious than conventional hotel rooms. Floor-to-ceiling windows allow ample natural light to enter. Loggias with adjustable wooden louvers create a seamless transition to the surrounding nature. This allows for individual control of the light and enjoyment of the views. The architects placed great emphasis on a deliberately minimalist yet high-quality interior design with elegant forms and subtle colours. Sustainability was a key focus in the selection of materials. In keeping with the concept and the house's location, they primarily chose products and materials certified according to the DGNB standard, such as the larch wood used for the facade, sourced from sustainable and certified forestry – a building biologist was involved in the planning from the outset.
