Multipurpose Pavilion of the Escola Gavina in Valencia

The Escola Gavina, a school on the periphery of Valencia in the south-west of the city, provides its pupils with an extremely varied programme and has now extended its facilities with a multipurpose hall. This striking volume establishes a formal link with the rectangular-shaped neighbouring school structure dating from the 1980s. In addition to its main function as a sports hall, the new building was also designed to house musical events and theatrical performances as well as providing space for meetings, conferences, etc. A music hall and a room for psychomotor studies are available to pupils as permanent facilities.
