Waste Recycling Depot in Munich

Orange-coloured clothing, orange vehicles and containers: in Munich, one is long familiar with this signal colour in the municipal refuse collection department. The idea of incorporating it in the design of the new bulk-waste recycling depot in the north of the city can, therefore, come as no surprise. In addition to the colourful outer skin of this development, situated in a heterogeneous industrial zone, the clearly articulated volume of the building ensures a certain presence. In spite of restricted space and an awkward site plan, it proved possible to incorporate all requisite functions in a polygonal layout.
