Au Pont Rouge Department Store in Saint Petersburg

Commissioned by clothes manufacturer Stefan Esders in 1907 and built according to European models the Au Pont Rouge Department Store on the Moika Bank in Saint Petersburg served as a menswear sewing workshop after the 1919 Revolution. A comprehensive renovation project started in 2011 has seen each floor redesigned by a different architect. The 5000 m² sales area now offers a refreshing mix of concepts both in terms of interior design and presentation as well as in the choice of brands and goods.
