The architects used a trick to gain about 15 square meters per floor: Dreier Frenzel Architecture and Communication placed the staircase of their residential building near Lausanne along its exterior. The emergency stairs extend into the building setback. Three straight flight concrete stairs follow the building envelope and access seven of altogether eight residential units. Landings situated in front of apartment doors are wide enough to provide small storage areas for residents.
