Timber Pavilion in Pachacámac

 - Sabine Drey

The team of architects call the delicate pavilion on the Peruvian coast a "Room for Archaeologists and Kids", which is a reference to its dual function as a shelter for archaeological excavations and an educational and cultural facility. In their design they adapted the monumental formal language of the historical complex and used mostly natural materials: tropical wood, bamboo and clay.
