Meixi Urban Helix in Changsha
A conical, 30-metre-high double helix forms the new landmark of Meixi International New City. This new city development area in Changsha, a seven-million population metropolis in Hunan, China, offers space for an ecologically pioneering project with districts for residential and business, research and science, and art and culture on an area of 38 km² around the artificial Meixi Lake. The Meixi Urban Helix stands in a highly visible position on a rectangular island at the end of a planned but yet to be realised town planning axis.
