A simple timber box placed into an existing industrial hall serves as the new company headquarters for a manufacturer of screed admixtures. Until recently the company's storage facility and rented administrative spaces were located in two separate sites. Both functions have now been united under one roof covering the vacant storage area situated within a sprawling, heterogeneous industrial zone. This raises the question how a building that represents a company through its identity can be created within this faceless context. The architects achieved this aim by creating a thrilling interplay between existing and new construction. They maintained the overall impression of the simple and functional warehouse with its gable roof. The volume of the reinforced concrete industrial building is still reminiscent of the neighbouring building, directly bordering it.
