Energy-Plus Housing Block in Paris

 - Barbara Zettel

Since the beginning of 2021, all new structures in the European Union are subject to a “nearly-zero-energy” standard. The 2010/31/EU guideline stipulates that the virtually zero-energy needs of buildings should be met in large part from renewable sources and generated on the site itself. The actual requirement values can be set by the individual member states of the EU, which makes sense, since the climatic conditions vary across Europe.
