The Plus Factory Building in Norway

 - Jakob Schoof

About 100 km east of Oslo, halfway between the headquarters of the outdoor furniture manufacturer Vestre and the company's steelworks in Torsby, Sweden, lies the village of Magnor. Vestre's new factory is located here, in the middle of a lavish forest landscape. The company's goal was to build the first industrial building in the Scandinavian region to receive the classification "outstanding", the highest certification in the Breeam system. Designed by BIG, the new production facility will be surrounded by a 30-hectare forest park with art installations and so-called mega-furniture - artistically interpreted, enlarged versions of Vestre furniture.
