The Dutch architect team of Space Encounters expanded an old warehouse based on a very clear concept: They literally built over it. Similar to a table, the steel frame of the new office volume stands above the low industrial structure made of reinforced concrete and brick. This allowed continuing operations during the construction phase in the existing building, which houses the storage facility of an online retailer and a music club.
