External Lift for Museum of Art in Chemnitz
In order to impinge as little as possible on this listed structure and not to waste valuable exhibition space, the lift was erected on the pavement outside the museum, with a covered entrance zone between the shaft and the existing facade. A new access opening was formed on every floor. The use of lighting and lettering over the full height of the lift creates a special visual attraction, while screening the lift car and the structure from view.
