The arts and culture quarter is located in the rapidly growing 23rd district of Vienna. A new building type defined as a studio house establishes a transition between the existing culture centre and the residential quarter. The building plinth features event spaces for a high profile program including exhibitions, theatre and music performances – not only for the residents, but for the entire district of Liesing. The architects developed the studio house type for this purpose. It provides spaces for working and living for creative people on compact, yet highly functional layouts at affordable rental costs.
