Municipal Workshop in Schattdorf

The canton of Uri advertised a project competition for a replacement building for the municipal workshop in Schattdorf. The existing structure had become inadequate in terms of construction, operation, and safety. The new site is located on the banks of a stream passing the fringes of the local commercial zone. The competition winners, Felgendreher Olfs Köchling, realised a compact two-storey volume that serves 40 staff members as a new hub for the maintenance of all cantonal roads.
