Residential House in Mallorca

The Ca na Catalina i en Joan – in English: Catalina’s and Joan’s house – was designed by TEd’A Arquitectes in Llubí in the centre of Mallorca. It is a pioneering project in two aspects: It is the first building in a newly developed single family residential neighbourhood on the northeastern fringes of the city. Further, it reflects the use of local construction traditions and materials. This approach is increasing in popularity among the younger generation of regional architects. The clients are a couple with two adult daughters and about to enter retirement. They intended to create a home for themselves for this purpose and a holiday retreat for their entire family.
