As part of modern energy-saving measures, solid wall construction has given way in many cases to hybrid forms of building in which insulating materials play a major role. Nevertheless, solid external walls that are thermally well regulated can ensure a high degree of internal comfort and offer a means of rehabilitation without costly insulation measures.
