Barkow Leibinger is one of the few architectural practices to owe its international reputation largely to industrial building. The activities in which Frank Barkow and Regine Leibinger are involved - together with a staff of 50 at present - extend from experimental studies in materials for exhibitions like the Venice Biennale of Architecture to "soft master planning" in the development of industrial estates and urban districts.
