Discussion: Central Market in Koudougou - a Participatory Project in Earth Construction

The West African state of Burkina Faso has undergone significant changes in the past few years as a result of a rapid process of urbanization. Until relatively recently, 90 per cent of the population lived in rural areas. Today, however, the two big cities in that country - Ouagadougou, the capital, and the trading city of Bobo-Dioulasso - are attracting a seemingly endless flow of people, particularly from the younger generation.
