Specialist information: Sustainable urban development - certifiable?
Sustainable urban development is complex, as it combines economic, social and ecological measures to negotiate accrued problems in the urban field. These problems cannot be solved through isolated actions. Instead integrated management concepts with intra-regional networks are necessary. Certification systems for sustainable urban neighbourhoods try to meet these demands. With a detailed catalogue of requirements, the certifications function as a guideline for project development and realisation.
