Practice: Identity-generating - Light Solutions by PSLab
The studio PSLab (Product Supply Laboratory) designs and manufactures object-specific light solutions for art galleries, design boutiques, restaurants, private residences and offices. Founded by Dimitri Saddi in Beirut in 2005, the studio has its second home in Stuttgart since 2009. Further offices followed in Bologna, Dubai and Amsterdam. The 100 people strong team is formed of designers, architects, craftsmen and technicians who work as partners in a team to design and produce all objects individually and specific for each project in their own factory. The Stuttgart office concentrates on collaborations with architects in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the UK. Detail has spoken to founder and owner Mario Weck about adaptable systems, space-capturing prototypes and the importance of open and engaging dialogue.
