Discussion: Serial Production Methods in Building Construction
Rapid population increases and rural depopulation are phenomena of our time. This has led to the steady growth of metropolitan areas, which is reflected in densification and new buildings in cities and suburbs. Against this backdrop, serial construction methods as well as efficient, economical and resource-conserving manufacturing processes are particularly important. Equally so is the close coordination between architecture, construction and structural engineering, as the prerequisite for technically and economically efficient buildings.
