Discussion: Practice Reloaded - A Revolution of Choice
Architectural practice has been transformed. We now identify and access emerging production methods and technologies to use them directly in the construction of our buildings. It is a revolution of choice. Digital fabrication is an experimental research activity that is embedded in our practice and involves a close collaboration between architects, students, engineers, and the workshops that support us. It is an autonomous activity that aids experimental thinking and doing by providing a back-up to our building projects. In other words, there is a speculative research discipline at the center of our practice that is constantly evolving and being added to.
