Reinier de Graaf realised trailblazing mixed use buildings, such as De Rotterdam or Timmerhuis. As partner in OMA, he is familiar with the challenge of needing to adapt a built structure to perpetually changing functional programs. His proposal: Only radically flexible buildings, similar to infrastructure, can address each and every functional change.
