Good Air with Carpets and Design Coverings

They now have to impress with their functionality and added value,  enable individual design and meet high standards in terms of sustainability and health. Moreover, architects are increasingly combining different floor coverings to take advantage of the respective benefits. With the Fusion concept, Tarkett now makes it possible to combine its textile product range with its own design floor range. The iD Inspiration Loose-lay and iD Square collections can be laid loosely. With a wear layer of 0.55 mm, iD Inspiration Loose-lay is suitable for heavily-frequented areas. Its VOC emissions are at least ten times lower than the strictest European standards and the design floor is phthalate-free. iD Square is also very robust and phthalatefree thanks to its 0.8 mm wear layer. A wide range of colours and designs extends the design possibilities, especially in the sizes 50 × 50 cm and 25 × 100 cm. They are particularly suitable for interlocking floor designs with Desso carpet tiles and planks. Another advantage is that both collections are up to 100 % recyclable. With a material thickness of 4.5 mm, the design floors can also be combined with Desso’s self-laying carpet tiles without the use of transition rails. Over 95 % of the carpet tiles are Cradle to Cradle (C2C) certified. In addition, the EcoBase backing, specially developed according to C2C aspects, is bitumen-free and completely recyclable. The patented AirMaster technology in turn binds the fine dust in the office and thus improves the quality of the indoor air. The special carpet yarn structure ensures that once fine dust is bound, it is not released by simple air movement, and is only removed during cleaning brush vacuuming – a contribution to healthy breathing-air for more efficiency at the workplace.
