bogevischs buero

Ritz Ritzer and Rainer Hofmann founded their office in 1996 to submit competition entries while still employed by other architects. They won their first competition in 2000 for the Bülowbogen service centre in Stuttgart. At the time, Italian architect Teresa Stoppani was part of their team. The founding members have always been interested in international dialogue and the rewarding results that emerge from the combination of diverse experiences. Ritzer is a trained carpenter and spent part of his studies in Barcelona. Hofmann studied, taught and worked in Great Britain and the USA. Today both also teach at German universities. Their practice is now well established in Munich, with almost 50 employees, and works mainly on projects in southern Germany. The partners focus less on individual achievements than on group collaboration – hence the fictional name bogevischs buero.
