Jonathan Tuckey Design

After working for David Chipperfield and Fletcher Priest Architects, Jonathan Tuckey launched his own practice in London in 2000. Today, the team of 22 has gained an international reputation for their imaginative conversions. “We embrace an architecture of change and an acute awareness of style and context underpins everything we do,” state the architects. In recent years projects have included conversions of private homes, shops, hotels, and restaurants in the UK, Switzerland, Italy, and Germany. To help solve the housing crisis in London, the firm has developed conversion and densification concepts on behalf of several borough councils. One of the architects’ few entirely new builds, the David Brownlow Theatre at Horris Hill School, is located southwest of London and is an example of the urban planning approach “sensitive densification”.
