Kunlé Adeyemi On Rising Sea Levels

Makoko is one of the world’s largest slums. It consists primarily of pile dwellings and is situated in Lagos Lagoon, where it is home to more than 85 000 people. Architect Kunlé Adeyemi comes from Lagos himself; he is introducing a concept for how the lives of the people on the water might be improved. As soon as next year, the first of his floating houses will be built there. Adeyemi speaks about his vision of the aquatic city that could become a model for other cities around the world.
