After studying architecture at TH Karlsruhe, Michael Drobnik worked in Amsterdam, New York, and Munich before joining Herzog & de Meuron in Basel as BIM manager in 2014; he has been an Associate there since 2020. He leads the Design Technologies team, which supports architectural projects with digital methods and tools. Over the years, he and his team have brought research initiatives into everyday practice, including ­extended reality (XR), bespoke early-design tools, and sustainability and performance simulations. From 2011 to 2014 he taught at the Chair of Architectural Informatics at TU Munich; he has also served as a programme commission member and lecturer at ETH Zurich.
Toufiq Ismail-Meyer. The trained carpenter studied architecture at the FHNW. Together with Diego Comamala he co-founded their architecture firm in Delémont and Biel in 2013.
The doubly curved facade surface establishes a deep cantilevered canopy. It emphasises the entrance and ­creates a generous gesture oriented to the streetscape.
After collaborating with David Chipperfield and Fletcher Priest, Jonathan Tuckey founded his own studio in London in 2000. His office focuses on conversions. In 2025 the Andermatt branch office was opened.
PHIL SILVERSTEIN is active in the office of Moriyama Teshima Architects in Toronto since 2001 and as partner since 2025. Limberlost Place was his first major project utilising solid timber construction. In follow, timber construction and sustainable building has become his central field of expertise.
