The prefabricated ­exterior walls are insulated with hemp-lime totalling 360 mm in thickness. The exterior received a lime render finish layer. The interiors feature stiffening diagonal siding.
Free-standing volumes are arranged beneath an open roof structure: The simple rectangular edifice reveals its spatial intricacies only on the inside.
The interstitial spaces with their triangular layout are oriented to the exterior. They permit flexible use and enable play between different groups.
The ceiling beams inside the house span no more than 2.40 m. It became possible to use sawn lumber to build them. Infrared ­radiant panels mounted to their undersides ­provide heating.
