The treatment rooms serve the purposes of doctors and professionals from different fields: general medicine, dentistry, orthopedics, physical therapy, yet also speech therapy.
The building is structured by large format glazing and light courtyards carved out of the volume. On occasion of the Iconic Awards 2025, the conversion was awarded the “Best of Best” ­label.
The Victory Wellness Center is located in a mixed use area in the district of North Hollywood. The masonry brick facade of the former warehouse was preserved.
The interior walls consist of earth concrete and form crosswalls. The reveals of openings typically feature arched lintels.
The health care centre occupies the site of a former stable. The new volume is adjoined to an existing residential building.
The new entrance ­facade interrupts the orthogonal order of the former warehouse. The offices on the upper floor display sculptural appeal and are leased to external tenants.
The plinth area is clad in natural stone sourced from demolition material. Steel anchors arranged at the level of the floor slabs provide the construction with stability.
A large rainwater spout drains the roof and feeds the cistern of the environmental education centre. The drained rainwater is used to irrigate the educational garden.
The limestone blocks used for the exterior and interior walls are up to 2 m long and 32 cm wide. They were sourced from a quarry in the vicinity of Montpellier.
