The Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art is an architectural masterpiece in the centre of Helsinki, Finland. The building is a masterpiece designed by Steven Holl with Juhanni Pallasmaa as the local architect. Light plays a central role: the form and interior spaces respond to the changing natural light. The museum has 3,500 m² of glass surface area, including the large curved side façade and the partition wall at the main entrance made of LAMBERTS LINIT EcoGlass. © Marcela Grassi

Lamberts glass factory, based in Wunsiedel, Bavaria, was founded in 1887 by glass engineer Laurenz Lamberts and is now in its fourth generation of family ownership. As the largest and most modern cast glass factory in Europe and also the only independent cast glass manufacturer in Europe, Lamberts produces all types of cast glass - from profiled and ornamental glass to wired and solar glass exclusively in its own factory.

The company's own LAMBERTS LINIT EcoGlass is particularly well known: high-quality profiled architectural glass, up to 7 m long - in demand worldwide for façades, museums, theatres, sports facilities and modern office or shopping buildings. Since 1996, Lamberts has consistently pursued its EcoGlass concept: oxygen-fired melting, 50% recycled glass in the melting process, consistent recycling processes and electricity from 100% renewable sources ensure minimised CO₂ emissions and high environmental compatibility. With state-of-the-art technology, family tradition and the highest quality craftsmanship, Glasfabrik Lamberts supplies durable, sustainable and architecturally sophisticated glass „Made in Germany“ for global architectural projects with high standards of design, function and environmental responsibility.
