Object+Product: Kraft Foods Europe Headquarters in Zurich
Between Zurich Airport and the northern city limits lies one of Switzerland's largest development areas. In addition to housing for approximately 6,500 people, the area primarily features office buildings that are expected to house around 7,500 jobs by the anticipated completion of the urban development project in 2014. One of the major local employers is the European headquarters of the food company Kraft Foods. The company moved into the so-called "Lightcube" in the new urban district back in 2007, but restructuring and increasing staff numbers necessitated a redesign of the office spaces as early as 2011. To promote employee efficiency and well-being, the renovation work, carried out by Munich-based Brückner Interior Architects, incorporated the latest scientific and occupational psychology findings.
