Report: SuperSized Metro Loop: Cityringen in Copenhagen
The “Cityringen” or Circle City Line, Copenhagen’s new metro loop, is about to enter operation this summer after around nine years of construction. With the 15.5 km long tunnel and two still to be completed branch lines to the north and south harbours, the Danish capital is extending its metro network to almost double its present length. No inhabitant of the city will then live more than 600 m from a metro or surface light railway station.
