Report: Rhine Harbour, Cologne - Wolkenbügel and Stone Sundecks
As part of the redevelopment of the Rhine harbour area in Cologne, a number of projects have been drawn up in response to private initiatives. A key element of the master plan is the open spatial design by the Düsseldorf landscape architects Fenner Steinhauer Weisser, which ensures a contrast between the dense development of the "harbour boulevard" and the seemingly boundless river meadows. Another positive feature is the reuse of old warehouses and office buildings.
