An experimental family kitchen for a chef.

Renata Faudin Gilli, Mariel Silvia Maria Jimena Acuña and Vicar

Chefs work notoriously long hours. So if they must cook at home, they at least want to see their families whilst they are doing it. This is the assumption behind a space designed by architects: Renata Faudin Gilli, Mariel Silvia Maria Jimena Acuña and Vicar for the latest edition of Casa FOA 2012 Molina City, an Argentinian exposition. The idea is to put the chef at the heart of the household when he is working. At the centre of the kitchen is a back-lit marble dining table around which all activities, and inparticular mealtimes, revolve. The kitchen is well equipped, but aside from the usual cooking equipment there is also a pull out work space / office / study, lots of experimental furniture including growing racks for live herbs and an open pantry. The award winning design has in fact everything an artist / chef needs to play and work along with his children without them getting in each others way. Gratitude to DECOfan for drawing this to my attention. kitchen for a chef An experimental kitchen Casa FOA 2012 Molina City
