The shape is familiarly traditional – the design however will either turn the owner of such a tent into the unrivalled star of the camping ground, or at least prevent any danger of heading for the wrong tent, with one looking much like the other in conventional green, orange or blue.

Countdown for creative FieldCandy tents

FieldCandy asked a whole number of photographers, graphic designers, illustrators and brand designers, to create designs, which were then transferred to the ultra-light, waterproof outer tent material. Forty different designs are currently available, so it might be difficult to make a choice. The FieldCandy website documents how many of each design are still available, because the collections are limited in number. With the promise of worldwide delivery, the colourful tents may well be causing a stir internationally. My favourite is the open book! Or maybe the club sandwich, or....
