The Future of Office Building - Twelve Hypotheses

Office buildings will be influenced and defined by the large societal questions and developments of the coming decades – from questions concerning economy, sustainability and energy efficiency, as well as contributions to social, cultural and economical stability. To position »Working in the City« with quality, it will be important that office renovation and the fewer new buildings that are needed are designed in a sustainable and efficient way. A turnaround is being sought that brings mostly advantages to the company, the employees and the society. The author specifies 12 approaches that will lead to long-term relief of the situation and, in particular, can support important societal goals such as »the stabilisation of the economy and the energy transition«.
