he geometrically folded ceiling of an underground station in Helsinki, Finland, in an installation made of steel plates in Belgium and in the Holocaust Memorial in Bologna, Italy.

Folded Geometrically: Underground Station in Espoo

The underground railway service in Helsinki was opened in 1982 and consisted of a single line, which ran from the city centre to the eastern suburbs, where it then divided into separate branches. Plans already existed in the 1990s to extend the underground in a westerly direction to the neighbouring town of Espoo.

Between Village and Polder: Arcade by Gijs Van Vaerenbergh

To restore a lost link between the village and the polder, Gijs Van Vaerenbergh are installing a zigzag gallery made of five steel plates in the municipality of Kruibeke.

In a construction time of just 40 days a place with an impressively concentrated atmosphere was made at Bologna's main train station. A film allows us to experience the process of constructing the new Holocaust memorial designed by SET Architects.
