Acoustically Optimised Ceilings 

Delivery Hero’s headquarters are now located in the former telephone exchange in Berlin’s Mitte district. At the end of 2020, the company occupied additional floors in the neighbouring Torhaus Ost. During the interior construction work, special attention was paid to the acoustic optimisation of the board-marked, 3-m-high concrete ceilings. Partly for aesthetic reasons, only two thirds of the areas on three floors were fitted with suspended acoustic panels in the form of ceiling islands. The ventilation ducts and outlets as well as the system suspension remain visible. The Troldtekt Line Design, a rectangular acoustic panel with grooves in the surface, and Rhomb mini, a hexagonal acoustic panel, were used. The panels vary in colour and surface design. The elements of the Danish manufacturer’s design solutions are made of certified wood and cement from local raw materials.
