Burglary Protection Doors
Hörmann garage doors as well as industrial sectional doors and the ShopRoller SR are now available with certified RC 2 security equipment. This is particularly relevant for private houses if the garage provides direct access to the house via a connecting door. This is because, if a burglar successfully breaks open the garage door, they can then close it again and get to work on breaking open the connecting door inside unnoticed.
For resistance class RC 2, a door must be able to withstand a three-minute attack using tools such as screwdrivers, pliers and wedges. As perpetrators will generally avoid spending that length of time trying to break in somewhere, the number of burglaries is reduced.
