Interior Insulation and Panel Heating

A combination of direct heating with carbon sheets as well as wood fibre insulation boards for internal insulation is offered by Unger Diffutherm. The system, which is also suitable for use on floors in addition to walls and ceilings, combines the directed, more pleasant heat radiation of a panel heating system with summer heat protection. In addition, it enables a permeable, breathable wall construction and thus prevents the formation of mould. The carbon sheets require a low construction height. Beneath them is a 2 cm-thick wood fibre interior insulation which bridges cracks in the outer wall, regulates humidity, ensures a healthy room climate and improves sound insulation. The UdiIn 2cm insulation elements from UdiDämmsysteme make use of the double window effect, with the insulation created by the resting air layers between the panes. The elements work on the basis of “climate chambers”: countless air layer columns combined with a laminated wood fibre insulation board. Any moisture that accumulates is absorbed and transported away, thus preventing waterlogging and mould growth. The insulated and heated walls can be finished with clay or lime plaster so that the structure remains open to diffusion.
